An Intoduction to Ms-Excel 2013

MS EXCEL 2013

(An Introduction)

Microsoft Excel 2013 provides Powerful tools & features that you can use to analyze ,share , & manage your data with ease. The new features makes it easy for you to work in Microsoft Office Excel 2013.
The Tabs & drop down box is easier to understand the whole program . The graphics has been different from older version. Many dialog boxes are replaced from drop down boxes.
No matter what activities you are performing in the new user interface-whether it's formatting or analyzing data-excel presents the tools that are most useful to successful complete that task.

About Rows ,Columns & Other New Features
Microsoft office Excel 2013 have support up-to 1 million rows & 16 thousand millions columns per worksheet.Specially, the office Excel 2013 grid is 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns

Front Side Bus (FSB)

Front Side Bus

FSB refers to the bus that connects the CPU to the system Memory. We also know it as SYSTEM BUS or MEMORY BUS. It helps to measure the speed at which the CPU communicates with the RAM(Random Access Memory). The work of FSB(Front Side Bus) is to connect the CPU to the north bridge of the motherboard.
The North side bridge Comprises the memory bus, PCI(Peripheral Inter Connect) Bus and the AGP (Accelerated Graphic Ports)Bus.FSB speeds range from 66MHz to 1333MHz.
The Speed of FSB(Front Side Bus) can also be set up by using BIOS(Basic Input Output System) setup Program. The Jumpers on the Motherboard also helps to setup the speed of FSB(Front Side Bus).
FSB(Front side Bus ) also describe the communication system between L2 Cache & processor to the Motherboard.

But In latest there is no FSB(Front Side Bus) as the memory Controller it's inbuilt in Processor.

Micro-processor

Computer is a machine that is capable of accepting data , processing it and displaying the  output. The work of computer are:-
              * Takes input data from computer.
              * Process data from processing device.
              * Gives  the output.
All the calculations are performed by CPU(Central processing Unit). CPU is also known as the heart of the system. Microprocessor which is the heart of the computer system.Microprocessor accept input from input devices such as keyboard, mouse, scanner,in the form of data and instructions.
Working of the Micro-processor:-
The microprocessor requires information to process data.processor retrieves this information from the external memory such as RAM(Random access memory). The retrieves of data from RAM(Random Access Memory) is time consuming and it slow down the process. Now, the latest micro-processor using L1(level 1) cache built into the processor. The processor stores required information in the cache. When processor finds required data or information in the cache , then it's called Cache hit. When processor doesn't find required information in the cache , then it's called Cache miss. When information is not available in cache then it search in RAM(Random Access Memory).

Speed of the Micro-processor:-
The speed of micro-processor depends on various factors like:-
  • The number of instructions it processes
  • The bandwidth
  • The Clock speed
An instruction is a command that micro-processor executes. The bandwidth specifies the no. of binary digits that micro-microprocessor can processes an instruction. The clock speed specifies the speed at which the micro-processor processes an instruction.

The speed of microprocessor varies from 66 MHZ to 3.8 GHZ.

The speed of the processor depends on the no. of the transistor built into the processor. We use transistor to boost the data signals on the processor. The advantage in the technology field reduces the size of the transistor & have increased the processing speed of the processor.

RIP(Routing Information Protocol)

RIP(Routing Information Protocol)

This protocol is used or designed as for smaller network.RIP protocols follow
a distance-vector routing protocol is one of the two major classes of intra domain routing protocols, the other major class being the link-state protocol.

Characteristics of RIP protocol:
  • RIP updates all routing periodic table.
  • RIP updates in every 30 Seconds.
  • RIP uses Bellmen -Ford Distance vector algorithm to determine the best " Path" to a particular destiny.

Metal Oxide Film Resistor

Metal Oxide Film Resistor:

In this type of resistor, a ceramic core is coated with metal oxide film.A special paint is applied on the outer layer  to make it resistant from flames, solvents , heat and humidity. These types of resistors are mechanically and electrically stable.

It's used foe high temperature operation.

Carbon Composition Resistor

Carbon composition Resistor

Carbon composition  resistors are made up of a solid cylindrical restrictive element with embedded wire lead-outs or metal ends caps. This resistors are protected with paint or plastic. The spiral is used which increase the resistance.
In this type of resistance element is made from mixture of powdered carbon and an insulating material such as ceramic.
Resin is used to hold the mixture.
The ratio filled material determined the resistance of the resistor.Less carbon is added in order to increase the resistance.

Resistance show's
  • Predictable performance
  • Low inductance
  • Low Capacitance
Resistor's used:
  • Medical Monitoring Performance
  • Strobe Lightning
  • welding
  • Automobiles

Carbon Film Resitors

Carbon Film Resistors:
Carbon film is most popular resistor. In this type of resistors, spiral groove cut carbon film is integrated into a small ceramic cylinder. In this type of carbon film resistor which controls the amount of carbon between the leads to set the resistance.

The features of resistor are:
  • Reliability
  • Solder Ability
  • Noise Stability
  • Moisture Stability
  • Heat Stability
Carbon Film resistors are most commonly used:
  • Low- Power Applications
  • Radio Receivers
  • Audio-Amplifies
  • TV receiving sets
